From 1945, a truly amazing photo of former Notre Dame All-American
Mario “Motts” Tonelli in the garb of a Japanese prison camp. A
survivor of the Bataan Death March and 42 months of captivity, the
copy states that he will be returning to his professional football
team, the Chicago Cardinals, after his triumphant arrival home. This
fantastic image measures 7 x 8.5 and is NM in condition, clarity and
contrast.
