Marion Motley is one of the all-time great running backs in football history. Paul Brown, the innovative and revolutionary football coach of the Cleveland Browns, called Motley the best all around running back he ever coached. This was saying something since he also coached Jimmy Brown. This lot contains two great images of Motley with the Browns, and one from 1941 when he starred at the University of Nevada. The copy reads the “212 pound Negro is as fast as he is powerful”. The images are 8 x 10 (2) and 5 x7 and are NM in condition, clarity and contrast.
