The greatest American League catcher of the 1970's, and the first player to be named Captain of the New York Yankees since Lou Gehrig. His tragic death in 1979 brought the entire Yankee team to Canton, Ohio in order to attend his funeral and the entire Yankee nation to tears. Offered is one of the limited number of autographed items he left behind, this white, Sheraton Hotel paper drink coaster (5" diam.) signed "Thurman Munson" in 9/10 black ballpoint ink.
