A milestone jersey from Padre club-swinger Tony Gwynn, as he played for the last time as an All-Star (15th) this same year as he leather-peeled his way to the career-defining 3,000th hit in August of 1999. Specifically #’s 2,932 and 2,933 were sent screaming while this 8-time batting titlist buttoned up this snow-toned jersey on April 7th, as is noted twice here, “# 2932 #2933 4-7-99 VS. COL” embroidered once down the back below his # 19, and secondly on the Russell Athletic size 50 tag on front hem in blue marker. “100% Polyester” flag tag hangs off Russell tag, and Padres “1969 - 1999” patch is sewn on left sleeve. Gwynn signs in 7/10 silver paint pen down the “1” on his “19” on back. Originally obtained from the Gwynn family when they were marketing his game-used materials. Includes LOA.
