Lot 400: 1969-69 ABA Pittsburg Pipers Game Used Warm Up
ITEM DESCRIPTION
It’d be tough to follow this Piper, as this ABA franchise’s trail changed yearly - from Pittsburgh (’67) to Minnesota (’68), and back to Pittsburgh(’69), only to then change their name to the Condors (’70)! This 1969 bagpiper’s warm up is absolute old-school, with “Champions 1967 - 1968" and basketball-shaped, intricately weaved, orange ABA logo on right breast, and “Pipers” logo on left. Player’s “41” on left short sleeve, and tackle twill “Pittsburgh Pipers” with individually sewn-on letters on verso. Rawlings size 46, “Do Not Dry Clean”, and a worn-clean-of-print tag on inside of jacket’s right plaquette, while pants carry same tags in waist but with size 38, and “23” in blue sharpie over care tag.
