A fine group of early 20th century original first-generation boxing photographs including many important champions. Included is a fine studio photograph of Stanley Ketchel done by Ferguson Kucker Studios. The photograph is 7” x 9” and has been mounted on cardboard. Slight glue stains on the border not affecting the image of Ketchel in period dress. Circa 1910. There is a small photo (5 ¼ x 6 ¼) of Joe Gans with a signature which was added later and is not Gans’ writing. The remainder are mostly smaller square-off photos (ranging from 7 x 9 to 4 x 5) of important fighters before their bouts. Included in this group are Kilbane-Rivers, Solomon-Green, Abe Attell-Solomon, Kid McCoy-Jack “Twin” Sullivan, Nelson-Hubert, Kelly-Kaufman, and Welsh-McFarland. Seventeen in all in overall Excellent condition.
