On August 4, 1947, Ike Williams and Bob Montgomery fought at Municipal Stadium in Philadelphia for the vacant World Lightweight Championship. Williams stopped Montgomery in the 6th round to win the title. Offered here is a full, unused, illustrated ticket to the event. Both fighters are pictured on the ticket which is in Excellent condition with no creases, stub firmly attached, slightly soft corners and clean front and back. Also offered in this lot is a full, unused ticket to Ike Williams’ title defense against Beau Jack on July 12, 1948 at Shibe Park in Philadelphia. Williams successfully defended his title with a 6 round knockout of the talented Jack. The ticket is illustrated with pictures of both fighters and is in Excellent condition with no creases, stub firmly attached, clean front and back and slight fading.
