These helmets protected a couple of great Yankee noggins. Paul O’Neil retired after the 2001 World Series and his number 21 has yet to be filled… will his be the next number the Yankees retire? This, the batting helmet he wore during his last Series, has his number on the brim just below the NY logo and in back next to the MLB logo. A dark blue 7 ¾ size helmet that shows great game use with scuffs & scratches and “21” is written on the size label. Williams’ helmet also shows nice game use with a chip on the brim and back rim. Williams’ number 51 is on the back next to the MLB logo as well as in front on the brim. “51” is also written in black felt tip on the 7 1/8th size label . Two great helmets from the kind of heart & soul players that make the Yankees great.
