From the Grand International Glove Contest of 1892, this complete boxing ticket represents the March 2nd fight between the Irish Champion Heavyweight Peter Maher and the Middleweight Champion of the World Robert Fitzsimmons. Hosted by the Olympic Club in New Orleans, the fight would see Fitzsimmons victorious, as it would when the pair met again in 1896 for the Heavyweight title. Printed on normal ticket stock, the back has two small spots of paper loss from tape removal. Measures 5"x3" and is in Very Good condition.
