ITEM DESCRIPTION

All three relate to the historic 1936 Olympics in Berlin. This was the first time that basketball was part of the Summer Games and Dr. Naismith, the inventor, was there. He was honored by the German government and given this flag as a token of appreciation. Also includes a letter Dr. Naismith wrote to his wife while at the Olympics. Written on front and back of Berlin hotel stationery, it has great basketball content. Signed "Jim." Third item is a black and white original photo of Mr. and Mrs. Naismith taken right before he left for Germany.
