Rare 4-page scorecard for an Andover vs Lawrenceville Baseball game June 1, 1899. Inside are printed team photos of both the Andover and Lawrenceville teams. Pictured on the Andover team is a black player by the name of Clarence Mathews. Mathews would eventually go on to play in the Vermont Baseball League at the turn of the 20th century, one of the few blacks in professional Baseball at the time. Unscored. Clean split at the fold, easily fixed. Some minor staining on the back cover and tears on the spine near the center.
