One page handwritten letter on "The Majestic" hotel stationary. Dated March 5th 1938. The letter is written to a "Mrs Annegus" who is writing a book. The letter reads in part ".....some years ago I came out pretty strong against the rise of Alcoholis (sic), in doing so found myself being critized (sic) pretty seriously as our depending on the public for my being able to continue in base ball my stockholders felt that I should do nothing that would hurt them......"
