|||||||||
All-Star Defenseman Dallas Smith spent his entire NHL career with the Boston Bruins, save for 29 games with the Rangers in his final season. He had the good fortune to play with the Bruins during the Bobby Orr years, helping Smith to be on two Stanley Cup winners (1970 and 1972). This size 9-1/2 Boston Bruins 1972 Stanley Cup Championship ring is cast in 14K white gold and was presented to Bruins defenseman Dallas Smith. On the top perimeter in white gold letters is "Boston Bruins, World Champions" in relief. On the top center is set a large bona fide white diamond surrounded by 16 smaller diamonds. On the top left shank in white gold letters is the player name "D. Smith" in relief. Below this is a rendition of a trophy in relief, with vertical banners on either side that are engraved "League" and "Champions," respectively. Below this in white gold numbers is the player number "20" in relief. On the top right shank in white gold numbers is the year "1972" in relief. Below this is a rendition of the Stanley Cup in relief, with vertical banners on either side that are engraved "Stanley Cup" and "Champions," respectively. Below the Stanley Cup rendition is a chevron engraved with "Boston 4 N.Y. 2." On the inside of the ring is stamped "Balfour" and "14K" size 9.5. Ring shows light wear and is in EXMT-NRMT or better condition. A real Stanley Cup ring such as this would be the centerpiece of any collection. LOA from Dallas Smith himself.
