1986 was a watershed year in pitching great Roger Clemens’ early career, making it to his first ever World Series with the Boston Red Sox, earning the Cy Young award and the MVP in the American League, and hurling a 20-strikeout game on April 29, 1986, the historic game from which this Official American League (Brown) baseball hails, and in which the Rocket also tied an American League record of eight straight strikouts. Signed (8.5/10) in blue ballpoint on the sweet spot by Clemens himself, and with an LOA from former Major League umpire Dave Phillips, this game-used orb is truly a treasure. Phillips obtained the ball from an official who was working the game that day.
