A delicate rarity, one of the earliest football items on the planet, this precious ceramic is received from the 19th Century, circa 1840’s to 50’s. The “paste” mug is so-called for its composition, and has traveled well, though touched with a bit of crazing, and a crack in its handle, the brown-rimmed vessel’s illustration upon its side is delightful, presenting an early era in football with period-styled artwork and clothing. “Football” barely reads at bottom of image, its bottom-half mostly gone.
