Important images of this early western mining town by the man who derives his fame from this period. Circa 1907 and they are all include his cartouche and pencil descriptions (in his hand?) on verso. They are noted below in parenthesis telling the story of the Miner’s Strike of '07: Miner's Union Hospital (where Vincent St. John the agitator is suffering from gunshot wounds received in a street encounter with another member of the Miner's Union); Main Street (block is owned by U.S. Senator Nixon); Miner’s Union Congregating in honor of Moyer Haywood and Pettibone Jan. 20th 1907... Red Flags (union Hall where on Red Flag Sunday it was uttered "Down with the Flag, Ti Hell with the Constitution); Mohawk Mine; Reduction Works (where a man was killed for stealing from the amalgam plates). Like something right out of "Deadwood." Images are gorgeous. Overall EX. About 8x10".
