Spectacular full color lithograph advertises this early card set from Duke's Cameo Cigarettes which includes five baseball cards. Most importantly, this poster is dominated by the graphic of the most prominent of three boys brandishing a large baseball bat. He is blown up to proportions which truly allows us to appreciate not only this particular slice of Victoriana, but of all cards of the period. They are no longer tragically imprisoned on tiny strips of cigarette pack bound cardboard, but allowed to graphically roam free and large on shining seas of bursting lithographic color. The dreamy cards from this sumptuous set includes baseball scenes pictured with catchy slogans of the day. Poster itself is 28x20” and framed to overall 32x24”. Appearance is excellent with only some soiling to one side. The only specimen we know to exist.
