Large lemon peel baseball was painted black after the game and presented to the winners. In faded gold on the ball is "Eckford 16 vs.Enterprise 31, Muffins, Oct. 17th 1860". Both teams originated from Brooklyn and were part of the National Association of Base Ball Players. Paint is chipping in some spots but still remarkable condition for an 1860 historical relic.
