This uncomplicated and spare piece of dark wood is an understated gem, gripped in game by the veteran forward Henri Richard when he was part of the astounding five straight Stanley Cup-titled Montreal Canadiens in the late 50’s. A Victoriaville Pro, its top tape job is immaculate, though wonderfully worn by use; top of stick has “20” in faded red marker. Richard’s number “16” stamped at top of handle, while original black tape on blade is precise, yet ripped in a number of spots; tip of blade has a nice piece missing. An exquisite part of history.
