Lot 354: 1969 Bill Burbach Game Worn New York Yankees Jersey From Mickey Mantle Day
ITEM DESCRIPTION

Bill Burbach had a short career in the bigs but he got to wear the pinstripes. He pitched for the Bronx Bombers from 1969-71. Game used home Yankees flannel is even more special because it has been matched to a photo of Burbach wearing it in the Yankee locker room with Mickey Mantle on Mickey Mantle day in 1969. "Burbach" stitched in cursive onto a swatch in the collar. 100th anniversary patch (replica) on left shoulder. Bottom front has a Spalding patch, a size 46 patch, a patch with washing instructions and a label that reads "Set 1 1969". Below the patches, "69" is stitched into the jersey. "NY" on front is all original. Number on the back has been changed from 50 to 60. Nice game use.
