This set is often called Aguilitas Segundas because of the top line on the ad back, however this is really just the second series for the Aguilitas issued a few years before. These cards were only issued in Cuba, and examples found in EX or better are extremely rare. This card presents very well on the front, with sharp corners and edges and no creasing. The back has some very minimal stock loss and light toning. This is one of the key cards of the set, Torriente was a Cuban and Negro Leagues superstar with a Cuban baseball life time average of .352. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2005.
