Lot 373: Three New York Yankees Game Used Post Season Bats

A significant trio of New York Yankees baseball bats, all game-used during the post-season, book ending that club’s recent resurgence when in 1996 they won their first World Series title after a nearly twenty year dry spell, and 2003 when they won their last (at printing) A.L. Pennant. Lumber included in this lot: 1) 2003 Tino Martinez 34” game-used ALCS bat is a Rawlings model 460B with ALCS 2001 stamped on the knob. Black, with cupped end, has nice use and is uncracked. 2) 1996 Jim Leyritz 35” game-used ALCS black bat is a Rawlings model 155A (stamped on knob, along with “JL”, and a silver-penned “13”) and is identified as ALCS on the barrel. Nice use, uncracked, but has grain separation on the barrel. 3) 2003 Nick Johnson 33 ½” game used ALCS bat is a Rawlings model M460B and has ALCS03 stamped on the knob. Fine use with cracked handle, pine tar and taped knob. Signed on the barrel (7/10).
