Lot 725: 1920's Ty Cobb 40K Store Model Bat (34")
ITEM DESCRIPTION
Rarely seen Hillerich & Bradsby store model specimen exhibits nice wood and owns a Kork handle. Dating from the mid-1920's, it is stamped with Cobb's facsimile signature on the barrel and "40K" within the manufacturer's mark, which differs from the "125" found on Ty's game used bats. Some claim that Major League players used these models. It shows solid use all around with minor separation along the grain on the backside and the knob's bottom has been painted red. Weighs 36.5 oz.
