Lot 1286: Earl Seibert's Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Crest
ITEM DESCRIPTION
Upon his induction into the Hall, Earl Seibert was presented with this crest, the symbol of the sport's highest individual honor. The torch and maple leaf design are crossed by a gold banner the reads, "Hockey Hall OF Fame" and is framed to 7-1/2" x 7-1/2". The affixed plaque reads "Earl Seibert-Elected June 1963" and it was on this date that he, along with Oliver Seibert (inducted in 1961), became the first father and son HOF duo. The crest has remained NRMT though the surrounding frame displays some wear to its paint with minor chips.
