Henderson used this Sam Bat KB1(31oz.) in 2001 when, with the Padres at age 42, he moved closer to the 3,000 hit plateau. He immortalized the bat with the inscription, "Rickey Henderson Hit 2975" in silver marker on the barrel to the right of the gold "bat" logo, grading 8/10. "24" written in black marker on knob and cupped barrelhead, which also has, "34-31oz.-05 15 01-KB1 R.H." notations in black pen. Lots of use with well-worn black tape wrapped around the handle. Say what you want about Rickey, but the man's an all-timer, and his bats are highly collectible.
