Beautiful signed check is endorsed on the verso in thick black fountain pen “Pay to the Order of Roosevelt & Son...Theodore Roosevelt”. Below someone (his son?) has signed Roosevelt & Son". Dated December 28, 1916 (Christmas bonus!) it is “Pay to the Order” of Theodore Roosevelt and is signed by Edward W. Bok, the publisher of the Ladies Home Journal. This was for an article by TR entitled, “Men". Check has normal cancellations that do not affect signature, o/w VG-EX, signatures except for tiny smudge, are NRMT.
