Granger “rough cut” pipe tobacco got a handsome spokesman in St. Louis Cardinal slugging champ, Johnny Mize, as his grinning, pipe-toting cut-out face gazes swaggeringly at the bottom right of these 5 ads, circa late 1930’s. Soon he would be a New Yorker, but, as in this ad, now he donned the Cardinal colors of red and white. All ads are the same, and measure 14 ¾ x 19 ¾”, and are in really nice condition, with most of their corners sharp, and surface quality clean and vibrant.
