Exceptional photo of Mick taken moments after he swung big and missed in front of the crowd at Yankees Stadium, September 3, 1954. The next pitch was a strike as well but the plate umpire never got the chance to call it. Mantle hit the pitch into the lower right field stands for his 49th homerun of the season. Later, in the bottom of the ninth, he launched his second long ball of the day, a game winner and his 50th. The image is clear and crisp, grading EX-MT only due to a small corner crease.
