ITEM DESCRIPTION
|
||||||||||||
A superb collection of game scoring devices, with the centerpiece an incredible 1887 Spalding device which allows a total of 5 balls and 4 strikes. Twenty-three other items range from turn of the (last) century to the 1950's, with a number of celluloid scorers, always desirable. The scorers include two figural scorers in the shape of a glove and a baseball (2), two circular devices, each with a baseball diamond and old-time players on the back, a Reach celluloid "Scoring Tablet", the top of a brass Andy Pafko scoring ring, cardboard scorers with great period advertising such as Sen Sen (3), Dennison's (2), two highly functional Wilson and MacGregor stainless steel devices, and many, many more. The 1887 Spalding has the expected signs of use, and is missing one of its three screws. Overall condition of the group is VG-EX.
