The World's Heavyweight Champion the night after his victory over Buddy Baer in Madison Square Garden. He is looking to have his enlistment moved from Detroit to New York so it can be facilitated here. The rest is history. Louis was a key patriot during the war and we repaid him by ruining his life with a tax bill.
