Lot 1953: 2000 New Jersey Devils Stanley Cup Ring

This is the king of rings, issued to commemorate the Devils taking the Cup in 2000. It is the first platinum official team championship ring in history in any sport! It is the most valuable championship ring in the history of any sport! It is the largest ring made at the time: 80 penny Weight of Platinum! It represents the first use of an inset cross-rail interlocking quadrillion diamond/platinum platform. In addition to the 40 quadrillion diamonds that were hand trimmed and match calibrated to perfectly fit the cross-platform inset, the face has 2.8 karats of Burmese rubies in the shape of the Devils logo. Surrounding the face it reads "Stanley Cup Champions 2000''. The ring was hand-made by a ten-man team, all masters of their craft. Ring comes with appraisal from Diamond Cutters for $44,000.
