ITEM DESCRIPTION

Reserve: $300.00
Winning Bid: $392.62
Price Realized: $469.18
Auction Date:8/28/2006 9:00 PM EST

During the earliest years of the newly formed NHL, George Boucher partnered with King Clancy to form one of the toughest, most effective duos in the league. In fact, Buck nurtured the young Clancy from his first days with Ottawa and together to they delivered four Stanley Cups in 1920, 1921, 1923, and 1927. After his playing days were through he continued to remain a force within the sport, this time as coach. Presented is a rare Springfield Indians photo during what is believed to be their 1935-36 season. In it, each member of the Can-Am squad can be seen wearing their team jackets, posed in front of a brick wall. All have signed in white ink (Boucher is in the center of the bottom row) next to their respective images for a total of eighteen autographs in all. Overall the group grades as a "5" out of possible "10", while the photo is VG due to a crease to the top left corner and minor edge wear.
