Rare MZ Austria China Baseball Plate made in Austria by Moritz Zdekauer, circa 1900, this hand-painted china plate targeted the American market with its baseball theme. The face shows a pudgy batsman waiting for the pitch in front a signaling catcher. The underside is numbered 01/317 [produced] and has an "M Z" over a Habsburg eagle in a dark green underglaze. 9.625" diameter, EX+-EX-MT. Scarce!!!
