Calamity Jane and Diamond Jim Brady, ringside photos of Jack Dempsey (3), Jack Johnson, early baseball and football heroes, from Bobby Jones and Enrico Caruso to Woodrow Wilson and Thomas Edison, Charles Lindberg to an unbelievably young Mae West. The 1914 opening of the Panama Canal is included, as well as General Burnside outside his Civil War encampment. The majority of the more than 100 black and white photographs are 8 “ x 10”, with a few smaller sizes mixed in. All have period captions with “International News Photos” stamping on reverse. Overall condition is EX. A wide-ranging and utterly fascinating collection.
