This 1936 photograph shows “Human Skyscraper” Robert Wadlow, 8’3” at age 18 and still growing. He eventually grew to over 8’11”, becoming the tallest scientifically documented person in modern times. Here, Wadlow is seen with his brothers and sisters in front of their family home in Alton, Illinois. The 7 1/2” x 10” black and white photo has a caption and “International News Photos” stamping on reverse. The right border has been removed, with a shallow clip extending into the image at upper right. The print shows great clarity and is EX-Mint otherwise.
