“Gentle Giant” Robert Wadlow appears with movie stars Maureen O’Sullivan and Ann Morris in this 1938 Hollywood photograph. At 8’11”, Wadlow achieved considerable celebrity, including a national tour with Ringling Brothers in 1936. He suffered from a tumor in his pituitary gland and was rumored to be still growing at the time of his death in 1940. The 7” x 9” black and white photograph has a full caption and wire service stamping on reverse, and is in EX condition.
