One of the most colorful and engaging characters in the history of the game. He ran the gamut, from Eddie Gaedel to his famed wooden leg. There are 60 images here including four with Hank Greenberg (they are buying the Chicago White Sox; includes great one posed in front of Comiskey Park), as new owner of the St. Louis Browns, Cleveland Indians 1948 Champs headstone and grave, cleaning the seats at Comiskey, bidding for the Detroit Tigers, investigating LA as major league site, with Joe Cronin, trying to move the Browns to Baltimore, and many more. Almost all are from the 1940's-50's. Most are front captions. Overall EX+, most 7x9”.
