ca. 1865 CdV of "The Old Man" Bernard Hannegan- This beautifully posed CdV features veteran Union of Morrisania shortstop Bernie Hannegan, who had been with the club since 1859 and was thusly referred to as the "old man" of the team. He wears his Unions bib front uniform, and this exact image was used for the November 2, 1865 Leslie's engraving which honored the memory of Jim Creighton, where Hannegan was pictured in a mirror image of this CdV. Superb razor sharp clarity, with a corner crease and pinhole at the bottom, overall very good condition.
