ITEM DESCRIPTION

||||||||||||
Here are two pieces of New York baseball history - the subway signs directing 1940’s fans of either the Yankees or the Giants to their subsequent ballparks. These cardboard signs hung in New York subways and directed fans to games at both the Polo Grounds and Yankee Stadium. Both advertise (black print on white) "Ladies' Day Every Friday," and "No Baseball Game Today" posted on the reverse side. One is in Good condition, and the other, which is in Excellent shape, notes “train CC to ball parks.”
