A couple of multi-signer items, these two vintage professional sports dinner programs are in very good shape, despite a bit of staining and frayed edges. The “Sixth Annual Sports Celebrities Dinner” program (6x9”) is filled on its inside cover and first page with the likes of Conn Smythe, King Clancy, Tiny Thompson, Sweeney Schriner, Happy Day, Lynn Patrick, Floyd Patterson and Cus D'Amato. Of note, on back page, the organization’s truly philanthropic history states, in very un-P.C. (by today’s standards) form, that “the first five dinners have netted the crippled kids a total of $111,592.” On the “Charlie Conacher Hockey Awards Dinner” program (7 ¼ x 9 ½”), front page contains such famous player autographs as (a very early) Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Harold Ballard, Bob Gainey and Darryl Sittler. All signatures on both items are 8-9/10, and condition is EX on each.
