Brown leather bag traveled alongside the Iron Horse Lou Gehrig for what appears to be many a season. Stamped in gold block letters, "H.L. Gehrig" and still with its original "Yankees Baseball Club" wooden luggage tag, it measures 20" in length, is 11" wide and 11" deep. The outer shell shows significant wear along the edges and crease lines, while the inner lining, though lightly stained and soiled on the bottom portion, is in fine condition. Originally obtained many years ago in a grouping that actually included Babe Ruth's bag just like this gem.
