Brilliant 1928 pose of Rothstein, the man who threw the 1919 World Series. Interestingly, this announces he has been shot and is in critical condition. Rothstein would die the next day, murdered in a poker game after he refused to pay the $320,000 he owed. Original paper caption. International Newsreel stamp on verso. NRMT. 6x8”.
