UPDATE: Note: the diamonds, rubies and sapphires are man made.
Mantle and Maris almost took the Yanks all the way again in '60 when during one of the highest scoring Series of all time they came up just short of the Pirates. In true Yankee style though they regrouped and rebounded to win the next two World Titles adding yet another pair of chapters to the greatest story in the history of sports. Offered is the 14K gold AL ring presented to the players following their 1960 pennant. On the face is the "Yankees" logo accented by a trio of assorted stones in red, white and blue (diamonds, rubies, and sapphires) surrounded by raised text that reads "American League Champions". The identical right and left shanks are both filled with "1960" and raised baseball design. Manufactured by Balfour, size 10.5. EX-MT.
