Rare presentational baseball was one of a pair given to attendees of the February 2, 1926 National League 50th Anniversary celebration held in New York at the Hotel Astor. Past and present baseball luminaries in attendance that night were the only ones given this handsome keepsake and rarely have they appeared for public sale since. The NL baseball, with John Heydler's stamp on the Spalding logo panel (only fragments, though, are still visible) has applied photographic decals of the past NL Presidents including Hulbert, Pulliam, and Tener. Overall EX, the specimen exhibits light, but even age toning with decals remaining uncommonly clean having strong contrast and clarity.
