A very important piece of Baseball history from 1946, the year from which began what is considered the golden age of Cuban Baseball, this document is signed by many of Cuba’s finest players, including Salvador Hernandez, Nap Reyes, Alberto Hernandez, Luis Tiant, Sr., Minnie Minoso, and Martin Dihigo, to name a few. The content of this Constitution Act translates as follows, “In Havana City, November 11, 1946, Professional Baseball players met at the House # 217 located in Dominguez Street (Barricade of The Hill). The Professional Players that belong to the distinct Clubs and are currently playing in the Professional Championship in effect to constitute .....THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BASEBALL PLAYERS OF CUBA. After the meeting, a unanimous decision was made to create a commission no more than five days from convening. A new meeting date was set by the commission to discuss rules concerning the association with the purpose of protecting, helping, and defending the association's best interest. This document is being signed by all those present''. Signed by 48 players from Cuba, it is a virtual who's who of Cuban baseball in the 1940's. Signed front and back in ink, signatures average 8/10. Paper has a few stains but still very presentable, VG.
