Unbelievable collection of ambrotypes and tintypes photographs from the Civil War, and as far as we can tell, either all or the vast majority are of the Union troops. All but two are framed and under glass and in their original hand crafted cases. There are group photos of the troops, a horse drawn carriage with 3 children holding the reins, individual soldiers posed with their guns, a leader who is quite possibly a general and group photos of gentlemen in civilian clothes, just to name a few. Also a scrapbook of over 200 photos from the 1890's of farms, Indian families, white families and their pets.Photos are HOT!! What a great glimpse into our nation's past. All was obtained in the 1970s and 1980s.
