Drink coaster from the Sea Watch Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale has note on reverse, slipped to Mickey Mantle by fellow Alcoholics Anonymous member after witnessing The Mick downing some beers nearby. After asking the waitress if Mantle was, in fact, polishing off a few heads, the waitress informed this fellow Mickey was drinking "non-alcoholic beer". Note reads "I am a friend of Bill W. & Doctor Bob. Sure glad to find out that's not real beer! An AA Brother". Evidently, Mantle responded to the concerned gentleman by sending the folded coaster back over signed "Not to worry, Mickey Mantle". Blue Sharpie writing is flawless on Excellent shape coaster. Typed letter of provenance from this gentleman, who also adds, Mantle did not sign any other autographs that day in the restaurant, when asked. From February of 1995, which turned out to be Mantle's final February on earth.
