One of the finest Hornsby singles extant. Unofficial baseball has been graded 7 (NRMT) by PSA. Signature in blue ink on a side panel and dated 1957 has been graded an 8 (NM-MT) for an overall grade of 7.5 (NRMT+). It looks even better than the technical grade. Comes with letter that the original owner wrote to Hornsby to request his signature on a baseball. Hornsby sent the letter back to the collector with a note (not in his hand) that reads, "Send the ball will be happy to sign it for you, Rogers Hornsby." Ball has also been dated by the original owner on the day that he received it back - 2/26/57.
