Official American League (Harridge) baseball was blessed on a side panel with a Mint "Ty Cobb 8/20/55" signature in green fountain pen ink. Ball is near white and free of any blemishes whatsoever. Comes with a letter from Cobb dated 8/5/55 written to the original owner of this ball. It reads in part "It would be an honor to sign your baseball and return same to you." Signed "Sincerely, Ty Cobb" on his personal stationery. The original owner wrote to Cobb before sending this ball for him to sign. Original mailing envelope filled out in Cobb's hand is also here.
