Lot 287: Herb Pennock Signed Letter

From the man called the greatest lefthander in the history of baseball by Yankees manager Miller Huggins, comes this 1947 typed letter on Philadelphia Phillies stationery. It is signed "Herb Pennock" (9/10 ink) at the end. Letter is to the early collector, Harry Evans, regarding a ticket to the Brooklyn Dodgers game. The 1927 Yankee and member of the Baseball Hall of Fame is a tough signature in any form. Letter has mailing fold but is otherwise NRMT.
